Not every drive-thru makes real espresso. Ours does. Every latte, mocha, macchiato and Americano starts with shots pulled to order, the way espresso is supposed to be made.

A Park Rapids Family Business Since 2011

Shawn and Carmen Gray opened Espresso 34 in June 2011 alongside Shawn's parents, Brian and Kathy Gray, on Highway 34 in Park Rapids. When our original spot became the new ALDI, we moved the whole building across the highway and reopened in March 2024 at 1507 1st St E, with a split driveway and pickup windows on both sides so you get your order faster.

Day to day, you'll find our manager Brighton Robbins and our team of trained baristas at the window, pulling Seattle-style espresso from Dillanos Coffee Roasters, mixing custom Lotus and Red Bull energy drinks, and handing out breakfast sandwiches all day long.

Whether you're a local on the way to work, a family headed to the lake, or a visitor on the way to Itasca State Park, we want you to drive away saying, "Wow, great people AND great coffee!"

Yes. Espresso 34 is drive-thru only, with pickup windows on both sides of the building to keep the line moving. There is no indoor seating.

Espresso 34 is open 7 days a week: Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Summer hours may change and are posted on the Espresso 34 Google Business Profile.

Espresso 34 is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. On Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Easter, it opens at the regular time and closes at 1:00 PM.

Yes. Breakfast and lunch are served all day. Breakfast sandwiches (Smoked Bacon, Egg & Cheese; Sausage, Egg & Cheese; and the Vegetarian Special) are served on caramelized buttermilk naan bread. Breakfast burritos and bagels are also available.

Lunch is served all day and includes the E34 Gourmet Chicken Salad on cranberry wild rice bread (half or whole), the E34 Gourmet Chicken Salad Wrap, the Spicy Kickin' Chicken Wrap, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap.
